JEWELLERY CARE, WARRANTY & REPAIRS

WARRANTY & REPAIRS
All Fragments pieces are crafted by master jewellers using solid 9k, 14k or 18k gold and precious stones. Your purchase is covered by a 6 month warranty from the date of purchase, covering all manufacturing faults (proof of purchase is required when making a warranty claim). Items requiring repairs that fall within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at no extra cost (it is at the customer's expense to return the item/s to Fragments).
Please note, manufacturing faults exclude: damage or general wear and tear, earrings and rings that have been bent out of shape, snapped chains and cracked stones or pearls. In the instance that one of your Fragments pieces is damaged through wear and tear, we can generally still repair this for you, however this will incur a fee. The repair cost will be determined on an individual basis, following an assessment. Simply get in touch via the 'Contact Us' page to discuss further.
JEWELLERY CARE
All of our jewellery is crafted from solid gold. Unlike gold plated jewellery, solid gold is higher in quality, more durable and will not fade, rust or rub off with wear. Furthermore, you do not need to be concerned about damage when your solid gold jewellery comes into contact with water or moisture. That being said, many of our pieces are quite delicate in nature, and may still be susceptible to damage. Proper jewellery care and consideration of some everyday practices will preserve the appearance of your pieces and enhance their longevity, ensuring your pieces can be passed down and worn forever.
We recommend the following:
- Do not wear your jewellery when exposed to chemicals (for example, swimming in chlorinated pools, cleaning with harsh detergents).
- Protect your jewellery from scratches or knocks (remove when exercising or partaking in vigorous physical activities). A good tip is to put your jewellery on last when getting dressed to avoid it getting caught. Also consider removing necklaces for sleeping as these can become snagged.
- Clean your jewellery using warm soapy water containing a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent. Let the jewellery soak for a few minutes then rub your jewellery gently to clean. Once complete, rinse and dry off with a soft cloth. If your jewellery appears dull, you can also use a jewellery polishing cloth to help maintain shine.
- When you’re not wearing your jewellery, we recommend that you store it in the original packaging in a cool dry place.
